Yes, I am half Jewish. If you have any qualms with that, you might as well leave right now because I have no tolerance for assholes telling me I can't be half-Jewish.

FAQ
How can you be only HALF Jewish? Isn’t it an “I am” or “I’m not” kind of thing?
Well, yes and no. It’s hard to wrap your mind around it when it’s not you. From my standpoint, it’s simple. Here’s my explanation: No, technically, I’m not Jewish. I believe in Jesus and all that gobwad. I treat Judaism more like a cultural heritage than a religion. I celebrate the high holidays, I go to synagogue on those days as well, and in essence, I act like a regular, card-carrying Jew who only attends high holiday services (New Years, Passover, etc.). Think of it like me being a CED Christian (Christmas-Easter-Death). So that’s the jist of it!
Who’s the Jewish one, your mom or your dad?
My dad, which is another reason why I honor my Jewish bloodlines as much as I do. I love him bunches and he and I are very close. While not being very religious, he does believe in his faith and explained it all to me at a very young age. My mom is Catholic and a holy roller to boot. We don’t mix well.
What is the book you’re writing about?
Like a good magician, I never give away my secrets. It’s one of the unwritten rules of writing: nobody knows what you’re writing until you’ve finished it. Then and ONLY then can they be privy to it. But the jist of it is this: 2 homeless sisters trying to stay alive on the streets of Chicago.
